Colin Lenhardt Named D3Wrestle.Com Wrestler of the Week
Junior captain Colin Lenhardt (Hayes, Va.) has been honored as the d3wrestle.com/WWSport.com Wrestler of the Week for November 16th.
Lenhardt had a sensational weekend at the Roger Williams Invitational, winning the 174 pound weight class. In the semifinals he defeated Ryan Dormann of Stevens, currently the fifth-ranked wrestler in the country by the National Wrestling Coaches Association, by a score of 8-6. He then posted a 12-7 victory over Messiah’s Matt Cross, the ninth-ranked wrestler in the nation, in the finals. He was named the Outstanding Upper Weight at the tournament for his efforts.
Lenhardt has now moved up to the #8 slot in the latest d3wrestle.com Rankings. He adds his Roger Williams title to a 4th place finish at the Ithaca Tournament the week before, running his season record to 8-1. This gives him a current career record of 63-19. He was a 2010 NCAA qualifier at 174 lbs. Johnson and Wales is taking this week and next off before next taking the mat at the York Invitational on December 3rd.
