Wrestling Competes At NWCA National Duals
The 22nd ranked wrestling team at the 2012 National Wrestling Coaches Association/Cliff Keen National Duals on Saturday afternoon. JWU dropped a 27-15 decision against ninth-ranked Elmhurst and then wrapped up their tournament with a 24-10 setback against 28th ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point
Johnson & Wales junior TJ Wesbter (Markham, Ill.) recorded a pair of victories at 141 pounds, including a win by pin fall against Elmhirst's Jake Denhof in a time of 4:54. Freshman Frank Marotti (Fairfield, N.J.) and junior Connor Nelson (Wakefield, R.I.) each had two wins on the day for the Wildcats.
With the two losses Johnson & Wales falls to 5-2 on the season. The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, January 14th when they host Wesleyan in a dual match starting at 7:00 p.m.
