Women’s Ice Hockey Drops 1-0 Decision at Castleton 

RUTLAND, Vt.- Host Castleton State University scored the lone goal in the third period to skate past the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team on Friday. The Spartans defeated the Wildcats, 1-0.

Johnson & Wales: 2-7-2, 1-5-1, NEHC 
Castleton: 3-4-1, 3-1-1, NEHC

Goalkeepers:
JWU: Jasmine Mucci (L, 2-6-2) 27 saves, 1 goal
CSU: Rylie Wills (W, 1-2-1) 29 saves, 0 goals 

Of Note:
The lone goal wasn't scored until the third period. Just two minutes in, Castleton's Aimee Briand skated past the JWU defenders to score unassisted. 

Johnson & Wales had 29 shots, but Castleton goalkeeper Rylie Wills turned all of them away. The Wildcats' Jasmine Mucci had 27 saves.
