Women’s Ice Hockey Draws 2-2 with Pilgrims

HENNIKER, NH – The Johnson & Wales University and New England College women's ice hockey teams were as even as two teams could possibly be on Saturday. The Wildcats and Pilgrims skated to a 2-2 tie.

Johnson & Wales: 1-6-1, 1-4-1, NEHC

JWU: Jasmine Mucci (T, 1-5-1) 32 saves 

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales got out to a fast start with a pair of first-period power play goals.

Cassie Wakefield notched her first goal of the season just 2:25 into the game. Ten minutes later it was Cassidy Simanski's turn to score her goal of the year.

The power play worked in NEC's favor during the second period with two equalizing goals just 93 seconds apart.

Keeping the Wildcats in the game during the third period was goaltender Jasmine Mucci as she made 18 of her 32 saves during that time.
