Johnson & Wales Women’s Ice Hockey Defeated by Salem State 3-1

SALEM, Mass. – Despite maintaining a lead for the first two periods, the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team couldn't come away with a victory. Wildcats were defeated by Salem State, 3-1, on Friday.

SSU: Isabelle Woodward (W, 1-1-0) 33 Saves, 1 goal 

Of Note:
The Wildcats' Samantha Kawejsza scored in the 15th minute of the game off a pass from Savannah Booth. Kawejsza skated in from the left wing and ripped a shot past SSU goalie Isabella Woodward for a 1-0 lead at the 15:47 mark of the first.    

Johnson & Wales held the 1-0 lead until the third period when Salem State scored back-to-back goals in the fourth and fifth minutes to take the lead.
