JWU Women's Ice Hockey Drops 6-0 Decision to Sacred Heart 
SHELTON, Conn. – The Sacred Heart women's ice hockey team built a lead that Johnson & Wales University couldn't overcome. The Wildcats lost a 6-0 decision to the Pioneers on Saturday.
 
Johnson & Wales starts the year at 0-2 while Sacred Heart improved to 4-3-1.
 
SHU's Maddie Bishop scored just 24 seconds into the game. The Pioneers added a Samantha Shoebottom goal within the next two minutes and took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission.
 
The Pioneers outshot the Wildcats, 44-8. Taylor Duquette got the start in goal for the Wildcats and made 24 saves.
 
The Wildcats travel to Southern Maine on Friday for a 4 pm contest.
