CANTON, NY – Goals late in the period have been the Achilles' heel of the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team this season. SUNY Canton scored twice in the waning minutes of the third period to draw even with the Wildcats, 3-3, on Saturday.

Johnson & Wales: 9-12-4, 3-5-4 CHC
CAN: Brooke Susac - 20 Saves, 3 Goals
JWU: Kami Weiner – 29 Saves, 3 Goals
Johnson & Wales opened the scoring when Kathryn Mason scored just 46 seconds into the second period. It was her second goal in as many games.
JWU regained the lead midway through the third period when Drea Westgaard scored her 11th goal of the season – tying Mason's single-season record set a year ago.
Cassie Wakefield put the Wildcats up 3-1 when she scored on the power play with 6:20 remaining.
Unfortunately, the Roos scored twice in the final two minutes to send the game into overtime. Neither team scored in the extra five minutes.
Johnson & Wales goes on the road Saturday to take on Nichols at 7:40 p.m. in the first round of the CHC playoffs.
