Wildcats Prevail 3-1 at Nichols

BURRILLVILLE, RI –There would be no third-period comeback by Nichols two nights in a row. Less than 24 hours after giving up the lead to the Bison, the Johnson & Wales University women's ice hockey team held on to defeat Nichols 3-1 on Friday.

Of Note:
Trailing 1-0 in the first period, Kathryn Mason got the Wildcats on the board when she found the back of the net at the 10:02 mark. Victoria Perez and Cassidy Simanski provided the assists.

Julia Martinsson gave JWU the lead just before the first-period intermission when she lit the lamp with 52 seconds left.

JWU struck again for another late goal in the second period.  Martinsson and Simanski picked up their second points of the game when they assisted on Hannah Tracy's goal at the 19:38 mark.
