Johnson & Wales ends the regular season 4-10 in the CHC, 4-21 overall. Morrisville improved to 9-3-2 in the CHC and 9-13-3 overall.
The Mustangs got out to a quick start when Stephanie Strymecki picked up a goal at 9:13 mark of the first period. MSU got another from Kanekaroroks McComber five minutes later then Kimberly Hughes found the back of the net at the 17:01 mark on the power play. The Mustangs added a goal in second and third periods to clinch the victory.
JWU put 13 shots on net, but MSU net minder Taylor Pincheon turned all 13 away. Casey Chodkowski (Somerset, Mass.) had a team-high three shots. Goalie Kami Weiner was saddled with the loss, despite turning away 44 shots.
