Women's Basketball takes #8 seed in GNAC Tournament

The women's basketball team grabbed the #8 seed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament beginning on Tuesday night. With a 5-7 record in conference, the Wildcats are slated to travel to Emmanuel College to take on the Saints on Tuesday night, 7 p.m.

Sophomore Marina Milian leads the Wildcats into the playoffs with her 13.0 points per game. Senior Morgan Wilson leads the team with 64 steals on the year and a team high 163 rebounds. Freshman point guard Jenna Juron has a team best 3.2 assists on the year and is a nominee for conference Rookie of the Year.

Emmanuel comes into the tournament as the top seed with an 17-7 overall record and a perfect 12-0 in conference play. The Saints are led by junior Meghan Kirwan with 14.0 ppg while senior Casey Shevlin leads Emmanuel with 3.8 assists per game.

The Saints won the lone meeting between the two teams in the regular season.
