Softball Ranks 10th in Easton/NFCA Academic Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Success for the Johnson & Wales University softball team was not limited to the field last season. The three-time GNAC Champions also excelled in the classroom where they were ranked 10th in the country on the Easton/NFCA Academic Rankings.

Last season, the Wildcats posted a team grade point average of 3.592 – the highest of any team on the Providence campus. Johnson & Wales was just edged out by Macalester, who had a 3.600 GPA. Newbury College took the top spot with a 3.695 GPA.

In addition, 15 players were named to the NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Team for carrying a 3.5 GPA or higher:
