Sailing Hosts Carmody Cup

The sailing team hosted the third annual Carmody Cup at Save The Bay on Saturday as part of the school's Alumni Weekend.

Tyler Woodworth, an accomplished sailor from the class of 2009 skippered the boat teamed with crew member sophomore Max Hammon (Guilford, Conn.) to earn the championship.  The teams were able to get in eight races on the day before the event was stopped due to a lack of wind.

The event is held annually to honor the member of Tom Carmody, former Director of Athletics at JWU and a strong supporter of the sailing program.
