Hartmann Leads List Of All-Conference Recipients
After winning their fourth straight GNAC title, five JWU runners were named to the 2011 All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference team. Junior Jeff Hartmann (Osseo, Minn.) led the Wildcats with a 1st place finish and time of 26:31. This makes the third straight All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selection for Hartmann, who was also awarded All-Conference Runner of the Year.
Sophomore Brian Dinan (Geneva, NY) finished with a time of 27:03, also making his second straight All-Conference selection. Junior Greg Redfield (Penfield, NY) was named to his third All-Conference selection posting a time of 27:06. Senior Nathan Smith (Jamesburg, NJ) posted a time of 27:10 and was named to his fourth consecutive All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selection. Smith was also named to the GNAC sportsmanship team. Rounding out the All-Conference selections is freshman David Torres (Ann Arbor, Mich.) after he recorded time of 28:26.
The Wildcats finished with 20 overall points to record this year’s championship. Coach Thom Spann was also named the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
