Scott Reslow Named GNAC Coach of the Year

Head men’s volleyball coach Scott Reslow was named the 2011 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, announced by the league office at this weekend’s conference championship.  Senior Steven Velez (San Antonio, Texas) was also named a second-team All-GNAC performer.

Reslow guided one of the top young squads in the GNAC and showed improvement throughout the season.  The Wildcats were one of just four teams that reached the Great Northeast and played eight matches against teams ranked in the top-15 in the NECVA.

Velez was the only player on JWU to appear in all 71 sets played and proved to be one of the top defensive players in the conference, finishing with 1.66 digs per set, ranking him seventh in the GNAC.
