Men’s Volleyball Wraps Up 2011 Campaign With 3-1 Setback Against Elms

The men's volleyball team wrapped up the 2011 campaign with a 3-1 (17-25, 22-25, 25-19, 17-25) setback against Elms in a non-conference contest on the road on Wednesday evening.

Freshman Shawn Kennedy (West Barnstable, Mass.) led the way for Johnson & Wales with 11 kills and three digs while senior Petar Yanakiev (Varna, Bulgaria) added eight kills and five digs in the loss for JWU.  Freshman Gerard Daniels (Miami, Fla.) had 26 set assists and four blocks for the Wildcats

Stephen Cameron paced Elms with 13 kills and six digs while Yonalvy Acosta recorded 11 kills and four digs in the victory.  Daneil Lebron had 40 set assists in the win for the Blazers.

With the loss Johnson & Wales finishes with an 8-15 record for the season while Elms is 13-17 on the year.
