Johnson & Wales University Executive Director of Athletics John Parente has announced the hiring of David Kulik as head men’s soccer coach.  Kulik comes to the Wildcats program after spending the last 12 years at Clark University in Worcester, Mass.  Prior to his stint at Clark, Kulik spent nearly a decade as an assistant coach at Boston College, Yale and Tufts University.

"Dave Kulik's background and experience make him a key compliment to our outstanding coaching staff.  He is a tireless recruiter and a successful tactician.  He'll do everything he can possibly do to improve the fortunes of our men's soccer program, while ensuring the educational success of our student-athletes."

“I’m thrilled to have received this opportunity from both John Parente and the Johnson & Wales administration,” said Kulik.  “I think the commitment that the school is making to the department will ensure the future success of the men’s soccer program.

Kulik guided Clark to eight straight winning seasons while earning New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Coach of the Year accolades in 2005 and 2008.  He leaves Clark as the school's all-time leader in wins while serving on numerous regional and national committees, including the head of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Committee in 2010.

An accomplished player in his own right Kulik was a four-year letter-winner for Yale, graduating from the school while earning All-Ivy and All-New England accolades each of his four years.  He also played professionally for the Boston Bolts and the Maimi Freedom.

Kulik holds the United States Soccer Federation "A" license and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Also active in the Club Soccer community, Kulik has spent the last 15 seasons with both the Inter Soccer Club and the FC Greater Boston Bolts.
