WINTHROP, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team landed four players on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's annual all-conference teams announced Monday. The Wildcats had one first-team selection and three players on the second team.
Drake started all 20 matches he played in the midfield. The senior from Waterbury, Vt. was fourth in the league with nine goals and fifth at 20 points. He had two game-winning goals and capped off the regular season with a hat trick versus Anna Maria to earn GNAC Player of the Week.
Gutekunst scored seven goals, including six during conference games which were the sixth-most. The freshman from East Northport, NY started 20 of 21 games and had multi-goal matches versus Regis and Suffolk.
Krakosky started all 20 of the games he played and was a stalwart on the defensive side after joining the Wildcats from Mount Ida. The sophomore from Sachise, Texas scored the game-winning goal in a pivotal match-up against Saint Joseph.
McNicholas had a career year, scoring 10 goals to rate third in the league while his 21 points were fourth. The senior from Hopkinton, NH was GNAC Player of the Week on September 4 after scoring a pair of game-winning goals in overtime.
Senior defenseman Robert Hayman was selected to the all-sportsmanship team.
