Wildcats Suffer 1-0 Loss to Monks in GNAC Finale

STANDISH, Maine – The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team traveled to Saint Joseph's College for all the GNAC marbles Sunday.  The Wildcats held the fifth-ranked Monks off the board in the first half, but SJC got the lone goal in the second stanza to win the GNAC Championship.

Of Note:
After a scoreless opening half, the Monks landed the first, and only, goal by Cody Elliott in the 46th minute. 

JWU played defensive ball for most of the match with SJC doing most of the shooting.  The Monks outshot the Wildcats, 12-4. 

Robert Hayman, Nicholas Mancini and Riley McNicholas earned a spot on the all-tournament team.

Head coach Dave Kulik will look to reload in 2019 with a revamped roster as the Wildcats lose 10 seniors, including seven starters.
