Wildcats Suffer Setback at Rhode Island College
PROVIDENCE, RI – With the conference playoffs right around the corner, the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team tuned up with a matchup against crosstown foe Rhode Island College on Tuesday.  The Anchormen seized the opportunity, however, and took the 4-1 victory ina late non-conference tilt.

Of Note:
All of the scoring took place in the second half, started by Dennis Vazquez as he struck twice in the 54th and 61st minute to launch RIC to a 2-0 lead.
 
The Wildcats got on the board in the 78th minute following a header by Yohann Assouramou that came off a Riley McNicholas free ball that carved the lead in half.  That was as close as JWU would come.
 
Rhode Island College finished the match with back-to-back goals from Niyomukiza Mechack in the 80th and 84th minutes.
 
Shots were in RIC's favor, 17-11, while JWU held the slight edge in corners 5-3.

The second-seeded Wildcats host the seventh-seeded Pride of Regis on Saturday at 1 pm in Providence as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference quarterfinals get under way.
