Drake’s Hat Trick Powers JWU Past AMCATS 5-1

PAXTON, Mass. – Teagan Drake recorded his first collegiate hat trick to help the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team wrap up the second seed for the upcoming GNAC Tournament. The Wildcats went on the road to defeat Anna Maria College, 5-1, on Saturday.

Just 82 seconds into the game, Riley McNicholas put back the rebound of Tucker MacPherson's shot.

Midway through the first half, Drake tallied the first of three goals. He would add scores in the 57th and 70th minutes.

It's the first hat trick by a Wildcat since Chris Schmid tallied a trio of goals against Mount Ida on October 8, 2016.

Goalkeeper Adam Cassidy stopped all three shots he faced to pick up the victory.

JWU had the advantage in shots (27-4) and corners (12-0).
