Four Wildcats Score in 4-0 Win at Albertus Magnus

PROVIDENCE, RI. – With the postseason around the corner, the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team is keeping pace for the top spot in the conference. The Wildcats remained unbeaten in their last 12 games with a 4-0 decision at Albertus Magnus.

Of Note:
The No. 10 team in the United Soccer Coaches regional poll, Johnson & Wales hasn't given up a goal in the last 551 minutes. JWU's 0.26 goals against average is third in the country.

The only goal Johnson & Wales would need came just four minutes into the contest. Jason Bendezu (Maywood, N.J.) took the crossing pass from Erik Schneider (Plantsville, Conn.) and headed it in for his first goal as a Wildcat.

Schneider scored his own goal at the 31:46 mark, getting the through ball from Andrew Vecere (Wayne, N.J.) and barring it in the back of the net.

In the 83rd minute, rookie Jack Ellis (Troy, N.Y.) scored the first goal of his collegiate career. Jahkeem Hunt (Smiths, Bermuda), provided the crossing pass to set up Ellis' goal.

Johnson & Wales' defense was stifling all night. The Falcons did not get a shot on goal with the Wildcats holding a 24-5 advantage in overall shots.
