PROVIDENCE, RI. – It's been over a month since the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team suffered a defeat. The Wildcats improved to 10-0-1 in their last 11 contests with a 5-0 victory over Anna Maria on Saturday.

The Wildcats – who are ranked 10th regionally in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll – ran their scoreless streak to 461 minutes. JWU is ranked fourth in the country with a .028 goals against average.
The second goal came when Teagan Drake (Waterbury, Vt.) took the pass from Jason Cruz (Providence, RI) and popped it over the Anna Maria goalkeeper. Drake scored his second goal of the game – sixth of the season - four minutes later when he put back the rebound of his own missed shot.
Riley McNicholas (Hopkinton, NH) scored his first goal of the season when Assouramou flipped him the ball and McNicholas headed it in from three yards out.
The JWU defense was stifling, allowing the AMCATS to only get one shot on goal. The Wildcats had a 23-3 advantage in overall shots. AMC goalkeeper Mark Robinshaw made eight saves.
JWU is on the road for its next contest, a 7 p.m. affair at Albertus Magnus.
