Men's Soccer Has Three Listed On All-Conference Team
The Johnson & Wales University men’s soccer team had three players tabbed as 2011 All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selections, announced by the league office. The Wildcats finished the season with a 5-11-2 record, while recording a 3-5-2 record in conference.
Freshman Goalkeeper Ryan Dzierawski (Oakland, Mich.) was named second team All-Conference. In his first year with the Wildcats, Dzierawski made an immediate impact playing in 14 games recording 5 wins and 4 shutouts. Dzierawski saved 79 shots while posting a .775 save percentage. The freshman goalkeeper played 1,324 minutes posting a goals against average of 1.56.
The All-Conference third team includes two Wildcats, senior Adam Shafer (Corning, NY) and freshman O’Kyle Corridon (Seldon, CT). Shafer played in 16 games for the Wildcats, recording 2 goals and 3 assists. Corridon led the Wildcats in games played with 17, while scoring 4 goals on 36 shots and adding 2 assists.
