WILLIMANTIC, Conn.– Seven unanswered goals was more than the Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team could overcome on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost a 13-8 decision at Eastern Connecticut State.

Johnson & Wales: 1-3
Eric Russo scored his fourth goal of the first half at the 10:35 mark of the second quarter to give the Wildcats a 5-3 advantage. A Max Stone goal six minutes later staked JWU to a 6-5 advantage.
From there, ECSU ran off seven-straight goals to take a 12-6 lead two minutes into the fourth quarter. The Warriors had a 64-33 shot advantage as well as 43-13 edge in ground balls.
Russo recorded a season-high four goals while scoring five points for his third game with four or more points. Stone added a goal and two assists. Sophomore goalie Bradley Morris had a career-high 29 saves.
The Wildcats are on the road Thursday to take on Salve Regina at 5 p.m.
