Wildcats Suffer 4-1 Setback Against Pilgrims

HENNIKER, N.H. – The Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey battled back for the second night in a row, but couldn't come away for the victory. The Wildcats dropped a 4-1 decision at New England College on Saturday.

Of Note:
New England College's Daniel Bergqvist landed his first of two goals in the first period at the 17th minute. Connor Fries gave the Pilgrims a two-goal lead with his power play goal halfway through the second period.

In the closing seconds of the second period, JWU's Jake Glod got one past the keeper for the first goal of his collegiate career.

Unfortunately, the third period was all Pilgrims as they got a pair of insurance goals.

New England College dominated the shooting edge, 42-29.

The Wildcats will look to rebound Friday as they host UMass-Boston at Lynch Arena at 7 pm.
