CANTON, NY – A 10-minute stretch in the second period was the difference as the Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team lost at SUNY Canton on Friday. The Wildcats dropped a 3-1 decision.
Johnson & Wales falls to 5-11 while the Roos improved to 4-11-2.
SUNY Canton scored quickly to start the second period when Joe Deveny scored just 74 seconds into the frame. The Roos added goals from Tyler Ralph and Tyler Bullard during the next 10 minutes. The hosts had a 35-17 advantage in shots while winning 35-of-58 faceoffs.
The Wildcats wrap up their weekend road trip with a 3 p.m. game on Saturday at SUNY Cortland.
