Leopards Rally to Defeat JWU Men’s Hockey 3-2

BOSTON – Three goals in the third period allowed Wentworth to come back to beat the Johnson & Wales University men's ice hockey team. The Leopards defeated the Wildcats, 3-2, on Saturday.

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales broke through for the first goal in the first period. Zachary England (Redbank, NJ) got the puck to Victor Carlsson (Calmar, Sweden) and he found the back of the net for his first goal of the season.

The Wildcats took advantage of a power play opportunity in the second period to extend their lead to 2-0. Graham Day (Rochester, Mich.)  scored for the second time this year off Jason Recchia's (Shelby Township, Mich.) assist – the first point of his collegiate career.

JWU couldn't hold onto the two-goal lead. The Leopards scored on three power-play chances in the third, including the game-winner by Matthew Kennedy with 3:33 remaining in the game.

Wentworth had a decided advantage in shots, putting 39 on net, compared to just 23 by the Wildcats.
