After Wentworth got the first goal just 42 seconds into the game, Connor Bates (Laconia, NH) tied the game at 1-1 with a short-handed goal. The Leopards had a 2-1 lead after two periods, but Bates tied the game two minutes in the third period.

Just 56 seconds later Guderian (Coppell, Texas) struck for his third goal of the year and the first game-winning goal of his collegiate career. James Hyatt (Coral Springs, Fla.) added an insurance goal at the 5:29 mark.
After giving up the two first-period scores, JWU goalie Joey Ballmer (Kalamazoo, Mich.) was a brick wall, making 29 saves, including 20 in the final two periods. Wentworth had a 31-25 advantage in shots and neither team converted on the power play.
