Erik Noack is in his ninth season at the helm of the Wildcat hockey team. The ECAC Northeast coach of the Year in 2004-05, he is widely regarded as one of the top young coaches in the conference. This past season, he guided the Wildcats to the brink of the NCAA Division III Championship after appearing in the ECAC Northeast championship game for the first time in school history.

Noack played his junior hockey for the Cornwall Colts of the Central Ontario Junior Hockey League. A member of three NCAA finalist teams while playing at Rochester Institute of Technology, Noack went on to play in nearly 200 professional games in the East Coast Hockey League and the Western Professional Hockey League. After winning championships with the Roanoke Express and the Abilene Aviators, Noack began his coaching career at another of the nation’s top hockey institutions, the State University of New York at Fredonia.  Noack received his bachelor’s degree from RIT in 1998 and his M.B.A. in marketing from Johnson & Wales in 2004.

A talented young mentor, Noack also serves as the athletic department's Community Outreach Supervisor and is a member of the faculty in the school's Sports Entertainment and Event Management Department.  He also spends his summer as an instructor at the prestigious Can-Am Hockey School at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York.
