Day One of NCAA Men's Golf Championship Suspended

GREENSBORO, NC - Late afternoon storms halted Tuesday's first round of the NCAA Division III men's golf championship at the Grandover Resort. Johnson & Wales University was on its second nine holes before play was stopped.

The first round will resume at 8 a.m. on Wednesday then round two will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start.

The Wildcats are currently tied with St. John's (MN) for 16th place at 13-over par. All five JWU golfers had completed the 11th hole on the West Course when play was stopped. Sophomore Alex Parente has the lowest round of the day so far at 1-over par.

After 36 holes the field will be cut to 18 teams.
