Men's Golf in Sixth at NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. — Fresh off a GNAC championship, the Johnson & Wales University men's golf team was back on the course Sunday. The Wildcats played the opening 18 holes of the NEIGA Championship at the Captains Golf Course.

Johnson & Wales is tied with Nichols for sixth place with an opening round of 309. The Wildcats are a stroke back of Endicott. Husson leads with at 298. 

Leading the Wildcats was sophomore Christian Maselli (Exeter, RI) and freshman Claudio Soukamneuth (Cranston, RI) with a 76. Two shots back was Hunter DiLorenzo (Boxborough, Mass.)  with a 78 and Ryan Malloy (East Greenwich, RI) carded a 79. Rounding out the JWU scores was Matt Daley (Duxbury, Mass.).

The final 18 holes conclude on Sunday.
