Men’s Golf Tied for 5th After Day One of FSC Fall Invite

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Johnson & Wales University men's golf team is in fifth place after day one of the Farmingdale State College Invitational. The Wildcats shot an opening 309 and are just one shot out of fourth.

Johnson & Wales is tied with Cabrini and is one shot back of Marywood. Rosemont leads with a 302 on the Bethpage Red Golf Course.

Sophomore Christian Maselli (Exeter, R.I.) was the low man on day one with an opening 75 to put in him sixth. One stroke back is GNAC Rookie of the Week Claudio Soukamneuth (Cranston, R.I.). Sophomore Alex Parente (North Kingstown, R.I) was third on the squad at 78. Tying for 31st after the first day with an 80 was Adam Ely (Essex, Vt.)  and Ryan Malloy (East Greenwich, R.I.).

The tournament wraps up with the final 18 holes on Saturday.
