JWU Golf Finishes 16th At Hampton Inn Classic
North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales
University golf team finished in 16th place at the Hampton Inn
Classic, hosted by UMass Dartmouth at the Allendale Country Club
this weekend. Elms took home the team title with a two round total
of 626 (318-308) while the Wildcats shot a 697 (361-336) over the
par-72 course that measures 6,703 yards.
Junior Steve LeDonne
(Rehoboth, Mass.) (92-79) and sophomore Tim Wolak (Laconia,
N.H.) (85-86) were the top finishers for Johnson &
Wales, placing tied for 46th with a two round total of 171.
Freshman Scott Boulis
(Lincoln, R.I.) shot a 176 (91-85) which was good for a
62nd place finish while freshman Jimmy Cute (Rehoboth,
Mass.) rounded out the scorers for the Wildcats, placing
tied for 66th with a 179 (93-86).
The Wildcats will return to action on Friday, April 17th when they
host the Wildcat Spring Invitational at the Cranston Country
