NEWTON, Mass. – A three-point barrage in the second half pushed the Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team over the top on Thursday. The Wildcats went on the road to defeat Mount Ida, 102-81.

Johnson & Wales trailed 45-44 at half time and only had a 63-61 advantage midway through the second half. The Wildcats finished the game on 39-20 run.
Leading all scorers was Brian Hogan-Gary (Staten Island, NY) with 27 points and 14 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the year. Randall Ferdinand (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) produced 22 points as well as five rebounds. Rookie Donovian Maxfield (York, Pa.) came off the bench to produced 15 points, including 12 in the final 20 minutes.
The Wildcats shot 42.9 percent (9-21) from three-point range as part of their overall rate of 55.6 percent (40-72). JWU limited the Mustangs to 37.5 percent from the field and had a 51-33 rebounding advantage. Johnson & Wales also scored 56 points in the paint.
The Wildcats take on Anna Maria at home on Saturday at 5 p.m.
