Junior Thomas Tabbed Conference Player of the Week

Wildcats junior Lamonte Thomas (Providence, R.I.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of February 7th, 2011.

In Thomas' two games last week he averaged 42.5 points with a 38 point performance against Rivier and 47 at Lasell in two big conference wins. He leads all of college basketball with a 29.9 ppg average. Thomas had 14 rebounds and 14 assists on the week and leads the team in both categories on the year.

The Wildcats are 13-6 on the year and 10-2 in GNAC play heading into the final stretch of conference play. They host St Joseph's of Maine and Suffolk on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, before traveling to Norwich to close out the week.
