PAXTON, Mass. – It was another good outing for the Johnson & Wales University IHSA Equestrian team. The Wildcats placed third at the Becker show.

Junior Heather Jarvis was the reserve high point rider with her first-place finish in intermediate over fences. Also turning in a blue ribbon performance was sophomore Emily Swirsky in advanced walk trot canter.

The Wildcats got a pair of second-place finishes. Senior Caitlyn Walker was runner-up in novice over fences and Arrianna Landry took second in walk trot. Walker later placed fifth in intermediate on flat.

There were five third-place performances, including three in a single event. Kelsey Barker, Heather Jarvis and Hayley Bernardo tied for third in novice on flat. It was the first competition of Bernardo's collegiate career. During open over fences Jennifer DePietro placed third and Erin Lavigne took third in intermediate on flat.
