IDA Wins Maine Fall Show

NEWBURGH CENTRE, Maine – The Johnson & Wales University IDA Equestrian team started the 2017-18 season in grand style. The Wildcats won the Maine IDA Fall Show at Puckerbrush Farms.

Leading the way was Maggie Dickey (Cumberland, Maine) as she won upper training with a score of 69 to take High Point honors. Caitlyn Gilmore (East Providence, RI) added a second-place finish score of 65 in lower training.

Rookie Lindsey Vollinger (Hatfield, Mass.) took fifth in first level and classmate Makayla Mopps (Coventry, R.I.) scored a 63 to place sixth in intro.

A pair of Wildcats competed unattached from the team and turned in second-place finishes. Victoria Ruiz (Duxbury, Mass.) was second in upper training and Cassie Houde was runner-up in intro.

Johnson & Wales is back in the saddle on October 8 at the URI Fall Show.
