LaRose begins his twelfth year as the head coach of JWU. In his 11 years the Wildcats have won a record amount of games, won a GNAC regular season championship, and put JWU on the map for baseball.  A native of Rhode Island, is coaching career has gone from North Smithfield High School, West Warwick Post Two (with JWU AD John Parente), and then to the University of Rhode Island as a pitching coach. His playing career included an Academic All – Big East senior year at Providence College and an All-State selection at Shea High School in Pawtucket, RI.

Jeff LaRose wrapped up his eleventh year as the Wildcats assistant coach in 2010. He works with the team’s pitchers. Jeff was an outstanding athlete at Shea High School and played college baseball at CCRI, Whittier College and St. Leo’s. Jeff brings the love of the game to the ballpark everyday. He resides in Cranston, RI with his son Jeff.

Jim makes it three brothers on the JWU staff. Jim prepares the outfielders and works with the hitters. Jim spent several years coaching baseball and football at St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, RI. After finishing his stellar career at Shea High School., he played both baseball and football at Worcester State College.  He currently resides in Lincoln, RI with his wife Jen and children Tim, Zack, Morgan, and Madison.

The former Wildcat pitching standout will be back for his third season on the coaching staff.  Vic will work primarily with the catchers and hitters in 2011.  He is also a full time member of the Johnson & Wales Admissions Office.
