Baseball Falls To UMass Dartmouth, 11-0

The baseball squad wrapped up the 2011 season with an 11-0 setback against UMass Dartmouth in a non-conference game at the UMD Athletic Complex Tuesday afternoon.

UMass Dartmouth was led by senior Ryan McDermott (Pembroke, Mass.) who went 3-for-5 while senior Zac Talis (Lynnfield, Mass.) and junior John Granahan (Hanover, Mass.) each had two hits in the win for the Corsairs.  Senior Matt Yaeger (Glendale, Ariz.) was 3-for-4 in the loss for Johnson & Wales.

Freshman Ethan Dubois (Monson, Mass.) earned his first win for UMass Dartmouth, allowing five hits with four strikeouts in seven shutout innings.

With the loss JWU falls to 21-21-1 while UMass Dartmouth improves to 14-19 with the victory.
