Hockey Cleans Up At CVS Downtown Charity 5K

The hockey team continued to give back to the community on Sunday at the CVS Caremark Downtown 5K.

For the third straight year, members of the Wildcats hockey team and the coaching staff provided their energy and enthusiasm at the event that drew over 5,000 runners and countless spectators to downtown Providence.  The Wildcats partnered with EcoRI.org to help with the recycling efforts for the day.  EcoRI Inc. is a nonprofit journalistic initiative devoted to educating readers about the causes, consequences and solutions to local environmental issues and problems.

Once again, the Wildcats efforts benefited A Wish Come True Foundation.  The organization grants wishes to children ages 3 through 18 who have a life-threatening illness and live in Rhode Island & areas of southeastern Massachusetts.
